VetsEZ is seeking a full-time remote Health IT Interoperability Lead to support in HealthShare/HL7 delivery for integrated health solutions and focus on deploying high-volume interfaces and interoperability software using Cache Object Script and InterSystems HealthShare Platform.
The candidate must reside within the continental US.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement interoperability solutions in collaboration with HDM leadership, the DevSecOps team, and VHA business owners.
- Support requirements gathering and system integration using HL7v2, HL7v3, CDA, X12, FHIR, and other healthcare interoperability standards.
- Work with developers, analysts, and testers to design and execute test cases covering functional and non-functional requirements.
- Assist in data validation planning and customer validation as part of the HDM Release SOP.
- Develop and execute unit and regression test plans, ensuring seamless integration and deployment.
- Investigate and troubleshoot software issues related to data exchange and interoperability.
- Collaborate with QA leads and Test Engineers to refine and promote enterprise testing strategies.
- Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Health IT interoperability and interface development, including HL7, IHE, and X12.
- Strong experience with InterSystems HealthShare, IRIS, Ensemble, Cache, and ObjectScript.
- Deep understanding of healthcare data structures and data exchange methods.
- Experience working with VA patient data, clinical systems, and administrative data.
- Expertise in Performance Testing, Regression Testing, Integration Testing, and Customer Validation Testing.
- Proficiency in REST and SOAP web services.
- Experience with test automation, scripting, and software testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with Agile development, SDLC tools, Atlassian, and Git-based version control.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in an Agile environment.
Additional Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in a multi-stakeholder Agile and DevSecOps environment.
- Background in the Department of Veterans Affairs and healthcare IT preferred.
