VetsEZ is seeking a full-time remote Interoperability Expert/Analyst to assist in HealthShare/HL7 delivery for integrated health solutions and focus on deploying high-volume interfaces and interoperability software using Cache Object Script and InterSystems HealthShare Platform.
The candidate must reside within the continental US.
Responsibilities:
- Design customer-specific strategies and solutions in conjunction with the HDM leadership, DevSecOps team, and the VHA business owner.
- Support requirements identification and elaboration to Integrate systems and applications using HL7v2, HL7v3, CDA, X12, FHIR, and other standards.
- Working with software developers, analysts and functional testers to design and execute tests against user stories covering all aspects of functional and non-functional test requirements.
- Perform data validations.
- Perform unit and regression testing and work with the development team to deliver capabilities to the business.
- Collaborate with delivery team and/or business partners in troubleshooting root cause of software issues.
- Collaborate with QA leads and Test Engineers in helping define, evolve, and promote enterprise test strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field with 5+ years in HealthIT interoperability and healthcare data exchange.
- Hands-on experience with InterSystems HealthShare, IRIS, Ensemble, Caché, and ObjectScript.
- Proficient in HL7, IHE, X12, and working with patient, clinical, and administrative data across systems.
- Skilled in performance, regression, and integration testing, along with test automation, scripting, and web services (REST/SOAP).
- Familiar with Agile methodologies, SDLC tools, and modern version control systems like Atlassian and Git.
- Strong communication skills, team-oriented mindset, and ability to work closely with developers in an Agile environment.
- Quick learner with a flexible approach to new tools, methodologies, and processes.
Additional Qualifications:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance.
- Team-oriented contributor with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-stakeholder, Agile, and DevSecOps environment.
- Background in the Department of Veterans Affairs and healthcare preferred.
